The CoolMeds Classic isothermal case has been specially designed and validated to safely transport temperature-sensitive medication between 2-8°C for 12 to 18hrs*.

It is important 2-8°C medication doesn't go over 8°C or below 2°C, where it is in danger of freezing, as this may affect the efficacy of the medication. Travelling can be stressful enough without having the added worry of whether your medication is safely at 2-8°C during the trip. 

What makes the CoolMeds Classic special is that it is fitted with an integrated digital thermometer, which gives you peace of mind in being able to monitor the medication's temperature without having to open the case. The thermometer batteries (2 x AG13 batteries) are also included and if you need spare batteries, these can be bought at most hardware stores and supermarkets.

There are 4 elasticated loops for the pens and a netted pouch to ensure that your medication is kept in the desired position in the case (suitable for pens, vials and syringes). As a guide, the internal space accommodates 4 pens that are up to 18 cm long and 1.8 cm in diameter. The case is made from high-quality material with multiple layers of insulation for maximum protection. 

It comes with 2 CoolMeds Cold Packs which offer a long cooling effect and durability during frequent use. These can also be bought separately as it is good to have spares and they should be replaced every 24 months as the gel denatures over time. Also included are 2 CoolMeds Buffer Boards which absorb excessive cold and protect medication from freezing or overcooling.

It is highly recommended you do at least one trial run before your journey to make sure you are familiar with using the case especially because conditioning the cold packs is the most important step. It will also give you time to ask us any questions you might have.

The CoolMeds Classic comes with a detailed product user manual which must be read before using the case. It can be helpful to take it with you to show airport security to prevent the case from being opened unnecessarily.

The ice packs performed very well.
I travelled to a hot climate and it was 16 hours approximately from the time I left home to the time I put the medication in the room fridge.
The temperature was still showing about 5 C.Im very pleased with the product

Speedy service and reliable coolmeds case

Thank you for such speedy service. I used the isothermal case for the first time last weekend and found it very reliable. It's important that for peace of mind the Test run for the Coolmeds Classic case is carried out first. It may take a little time but it's definitely worth it. I had a 5 hour car journey and the temperature had only gone up 1 degree. When I got to the Hotel they kindly put the medication in the fridge and the blocks into the freezer ready for the return journey, where I 'conditioned' them before putting them into the case. I also purchased the Coolmeds fridge friend (small) to keep my pen in while away. I trusted the Hotel to have the fridge at the correct temperature but I think I will purchase a small fridge thermometer to pop inside to be on the safe side.

Courier didn't deliver on time

My package was due on 26th, since my travel day was 27th. The courier tried to deliver on 25th while I was at work, so my parcel is expected to be delivered now on 28th. I have tried to contact the courier with no further help. This messed up all my plans as I needed this bag for my medication

What do I do if I have missed my delivery?
